The Italy Journalism Project:

We are conducting a research project looking into the people who report news about Italy to the U.S.

Broadly, our plan is to identify and interpret trends and characteristics among the journalists and other media figures who report for U.S. media — regardless of the topics or sectors they cover. It will mostly focus on the collective data gathered through questionnaires, interviews, and other research. We’re interested in anything between specific details about day-to-day professional activities to unusual or illustrative anecdotes about the life of an Italy-based correspondent.

This independent project will be the first modern, in-depth study of its kind in Italy, and, once completed, it will serve as a template for future projects in other countries.

Participation in the project centers around sitting for an in-person or video call interview and filling out an optional questionnaire that asks some basic information about each person’s situation in Italy. We hope you’ll take the time to help us with the project. Anyone with questions about what we’re doing can contact us via email at ItalyJournoCensus@Gmail.com.

Best regards,

Jack and Eric
